The Londe Family Story

Londe Jewellers opened its first counter in Sitabuldi in 1989. The founder set the rule that the first generation still teaches every Saturday morning to the third: never lose a Vidarbha family's trust, even on a single gram of gold. The single counter in Modi Number 2 grew through the 1990s into a full Sitabuldi flagship, then through the 2010s into a four store operation covering Sitabuldi, Gokulpeth, Manish Nagar and Nandanvan.

The second generation now leads day to day operations. Rajesh Londe, son of the founder and a BIS certified valuer, runs the gold counter and personally signs off every custom bridal order over 100 grams. He is the third generation jeweller in the Londe family and has been on the floor since the early 2000s. The buying team at Londe sources directly from manufacturers in Mumbai and Kolkata, which is how making charges stay among the lowest in Nagpur without compromising karigari quality.

The third generation has now joined. The current focus is to translate the same Sitabuldi counter trust into modern formats: a transparent website with daily gold rates, a Gold SIP plan that lets Vidarbha families save Rs 1,000 a month for jewellery, an exchange policy that does not penalise buyers for bringing in old gold from rivals, and a sister brand ZIA Silver Jewellery for daily wear silver. The tagline Golden Bonds of Trust is not new marketing language. It is the working principle of three generations of Londe family jewellers and the foundation of every relationship with the 1,00,000+ families on the books.
